Accessibility

Dove Court is on a steep gradient (two storeys at the front and three to the back).

  • Ash is on the ground floor and benefits from step free access.
  • The communal gardens at the front are level.
  • The car park is located to the rear. To access the main entrance, you would need to walk up steps through the site or make your way up a hill along the Queen’s Road side of the building.

Around Shanklin

The quaint pubs and restaurants of Shanklin Old Village are within a short walk, plus there are more places to relax over a drink or meal along Shanklin Seafront, and dotted along the revetment between Shanklin and Sandown.

There are beautiful coastal and clifftop walks, while nearby Shanklin Chine is a beauty spot which has fascinated artists and authors through the ages. This picturesque Chine reaches from Shanklin Old Village out to the sandy beach and has a waterfall, luscious greenery and dramatic high trees.

There’s lots to do for families, including a visit to Rylstone Gardens for crazy golf, or head for the golden beaches at Shanklin and Sandown for a ‘bucket and spades’ holiday experience.

"Having researched various areas and places to stay, we finally settled on the Dove Court apartments and stayed in the Ash 2 bedroom apartment. Communication with Sue at Vectis Holiday Homes was prompt and she answered all questions in a friendly manner. Arrival information was provided and self check-in was simple. We were extremely happy to find that the apartment was exactly as advertised and even exceeded our expectations. A welcome gift of a mug, bottle of wine and biscuits was very welcome. Allocated parking was to the rear of the apartments and there were often parking spaces to the front of the property which were easier for emptying and loading the car. The location was excellent, easy to walk to restaurants in the old village, the main town and also down to the seafront. Would highly recommend Dove Court."

We had a small issue with one of the doors, was able to speak to Sue by phone and she sent someone to fix it the next day. Great location within Shanklin, just a short walk to the beach. Hoping to visit again in the future.”

Staying With Us

Any breaks with us are for a minimum of 3 nights. Please note, weekly bookings over the Spring Bank Holiday and School Summer Holidays run from Friday to Friday. For stays longer than 2 weeks we will offer a discounted rate. Please get in touch for more details.

Ferry Discount

For all our bookings we offer a 15% reduction on your ferry travel with Red Funnel or Wightlink. You must however book your travel direct with the ferry company once you receive the discount info from us.

How It Works

Book direct online with us. Once you have completed all the details and paid your 30% deposit you will receive a confirmation email from us, if you are booking six weeks or more in advance. If booking less than six weeks, we will require the full amount plus £100 damages deposit.
