This weekend another fantastic family event hits the Isle of Wights shores… Rhythmtree has now firmly cemented itself on the Island festival calendar with the event happening this weekend 12th-14th July 2019.

Taking place at the beautiful Three Gates Farm, this festival is the perfect escape for families and friends looking for a slower-pace to the usual festival madness.  With an unsurpassed reputation for bringing together a diverse, rich mix of high-quality music and family entertainment.

Rhythmtree Festival 2019 will showcase an increasingly diverse range of music with musicians from the Island, UK and beyond. This safe, friendly, family-oriented festival is held in a beautiful, tree surrounded farmland, close to the West Wight Heritage Coast.

If you’re visiting the Isle of Wight for the festival, then don’t forget there is so much more to discover if you need a break from the music and want to try something different!  We’ve put together our top things to do on the island if you’re here enjoying a family holiday with young children right through to the teenagers!

Get into the Carnival Spirit!

The Isle of Wight has long been hailed as the ‘Carnival Capital’ of the UK, rivalling those far-flung destinations such as the Caribbean or Rio de Janeiro. Even London’s Notting Hill Carnival participants can be found entertaining the revellers and dancing through the streets of Ryde, and who could blame them for wanting to join in with such a historical event?

Community groups, schools, families and individuals all take part. With live music and elaborate costumes, dancing and carnival floats attracting thousands of spectators, the Ryde Illuminated Carnival still acts as the grand closing event for the Isle of Wight’s extensive carnival summer season.

So why not join them this year and witness this genuinely spectacular and memorable event for yourself?
